One hand full of A’s
A megaphone

Seven pound of books (one for class each)
4 year supply of knowledge
2 year supply of drag
180 days less sleep
5040 hours of school
Seven new teachers every year
And one shiny new principal
Thinking back to the past
I notice many questions I should have asked
Many things I should have done
Battles I should have easily won
Secrets that were never declared
And hearts that can never be fully repaired
Friends that cannot be replaced
And memories that will never be erased
Words I should have said
Emotions I should have read
Mistakes that I’ve committed
And pain that I’ve afflicted
Apologies I should have given
Lies I shouldn’t have ever written
Heres to the past, present and future
In hopes mistakes turn out fewer

Puffy white things float around
In a huge- never ending blue above the ground
At night it goes black
Those fluffy floaty things it lacks
Instead, little twinkling sparks of light
Oh my it’s such a pretty sight
In the morning, this big ball of heat appears
If you stare at it too long you will have tears
At night this ball that glows illuminates the dark
It’s a sign of bedtime and can quiet a dog’s bark
There’s nothing like that thing above the ground
There’s never an end to it, it goes round and round.
