Literature Circle Book Analysis
Requirements:
- A thesis statement explaining the “point” of the story.
- Identified theme explained with support from the story
- Three symbols identified and explained with support from the story
- Three characters OR three characteristics of one character analyzed and explained with support from the story
- Support from the story in the form of quotes
- A PowerPoint presenting the group’s analysis, following proper formatting and presenting guidelines (see slide below)
Do’s and Do not’s
-Contrast colors from background and font
-Keep lines short (most of your explaining should be done orally, not through the slide)
-Less than five points per slide (so keep font HUGE)
Presenting
-Do not read off slide
-Keep points concise (most of your explaining should be done orally, not through the slide)
-Be careful with animation. It should be relevant and not distracting.
